Enhancement Request - Induvidual picture or video #58

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
how about a induvidual picture/video only feature, there are times when I want
to see just one picture, not a whole album
it would work like album="album_name" but would be for only a specific picture,
like picture="picture_name"
I think I could get this same functionality by giving the few pictures I want
to view by themselves a unique tag and then filtering for that tag. It would be
nice to avoid that though.

I can put this on the list for the next release.

It would also be useful to have alignment built into the shortcode, eg
[picture="picturename" align=right].

Is this feature still being planned for a future release? I've used PWA+PHP on
one of my sites and would like to enable it on another, but not being able to
insert individual pics from a gallery onto a page is holding me back. I hope
you can help, because I'd really love to ditch NextGen Gallery, the plugin I've
been using, in favour of PWA.

I'd vote for this too. This is such a cool plugin that displaying individual
pictures via the standard thumbnail would be magnificent.

I will look into implementing this in a future version, although it may be a
little cumbersome to have to type it all out.

It would be a shortcode more like [pwaplusphp album="album_name"
photo="photo_name"]

I have a working version of
[pwaplusphp album="album_name" specific_photo="photo"]

It is kind of a pain to find the specific photo name on the picasa site
(IMAG105.jpg)

I will see if Scott is interested in including this feature.

I might have to revisit and see if we can do something more like [pwaplusphp
url="http://some/url"]

Yes, I like that. Hopefully this can be incorporated into the released package.

This feature is on its way, with a lot more. I am working out the update
capabilities as well as rewriting the whole plugin. Once its done, I have no
doubt that you will be happy with the results.
