Regarding this line here - https://github.com/Yaffle/EventSource/commit/f864e1fc30fc4dd10c895b10e451a89042ca837b#diff-b335630551682c19a781afebcf4d07bf978fb1f8ac04c6bf87428ed5106870f5 It's a "little" self-critical, but why we shouldn't use it?

Same question. Why did you add this comment to readme? Is there a strange problem in this library?

vovBorya commented 1 year ago

LMAO it's getting really interesting why is the line in the library? 😅

mieradi commented 1 year ago

Why is this a thing? haha

PKief commented 1 year ago

Has led to the fact that I no longer trust this library and no longer recommend using - even if it worked quite good. If someone is looking for a good alternative, I can recommend this library.

@PKief Hi there,

I read your comment about the open-source library and while I appreciate your honesty, I feel like it could have been more constructive. It would be helpful to know what specific issue caused you to lose trust in the library, as simply stating that you no longer recommend it without any explanation is not very informative.

I believe that open-source projects rely on community support and feedback to grow and improve. Providing specific feedback can help developers address any issues and make the library better for everyone. If you have any specific feedback, please share it with the community, so we can work towards a solution.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts.

Hi @Gems , @PKief comment makes sense to me - why has this comment ("Don"t use this shitty library" - translated from Russian) been added to the README, so that it's visible on both GitHub & NPM when you discover the lib? Immediately creates distrust. @Yaffle 's perspective would be very helpful!
