Use FASTA file as input #3

Hi Yang,

Thank you for this great tool! We are interested in predicting the subcellular localization for thousands of PacBio reads targeting lncRNAs. I tried to use http://www.csbio.sjtu.edu.cn/bioinf/lncLocator/ and it works well for one read sequence but is inapplicable for analysis of the whole dataset. Could you help me to run lncLocator2 locally? How can I use a FASTA file as an input?

Thank you!

Alla

Hi Alla,

Thanks for your interest in lncLocator 2. The codes in this repository are used for the reproduction of the program, including training and test. I will try to sort out a standalone version of lncLocator 2. Before that, I suggest you try to use the lncLocator 2 server, where you can upload a fasta file with no more than 10 sequences.

Best

Yang

Having a standalone version would be amazing. We have a lot of reads, so unfortunately it is impossible to analyze all of them through the website.

Hey Yang! Is there any update on the standalone? I want to use your tool and I have more than 300 sequences. Could you give me a workaround?
