I've been having this issue for a couple days, even when running on a local machine per the instructions from https://msftplayground.com/2021/02/private-azure-devops-agent-pool-based-the-microsoft-hosted-agents/. IOW ... it isn't Yannick's stuff that's blowing up.

Yeah, most likely this is because they use their repo as a "work-in-progress" and I just copy from that latest version of their code, bleeding edge. There have been discussions to make adjustments so we by default take the code base from the latest release of each of the images, but no one has gotten around to implement that just yet. MS is pretty quick to fix their issues, so it could be that this has been resolved tomorrow but for continuous work, it be better if we based on stable releases.
