Establish 5 meteo parameters to assert possible choices of glides more than 500 meters to the next thermal trigger, given the altitude & position.

@raamsri I feel the essential parameters for gliding would be

  1. Visibility

  2. Wind Speed 80m

  3. wind direction 80m

  4. Lifted index

  5. Cloud Cover

  6. precipitation probability and snow faction

  7. thermal index (700mb,800mb,900mb) (-0.9 or -0.79 very close to 0 or above 0 would be better for us very low values like -3,-4 means the atmosphere is stable over there.)

  8. dry thermal height( preferably in the range which is lower than our current altitude )

I feel these are the deciding parameters for gliding around 500 meters and going to the next thermal trigger
