Umm.. You don't have to disable your sound device, just set one as default it should change the music source automatically, without need to refresh the page.
I use VoiceMeeter (.com) gets you a virtual mixer, and you can have 2 outputs. Maybe something for you :) and its free!
@ireun: I tried that, and it didn't change the audio output :/ Without refresh, there doesn't seem to be a way of changing the device - is this a bug?
Here's the video showing the problem: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/56173222/audiodevice.wmv
You should notice that before disabling greasemonkey the audio output doesn't change when devices are made default or disabled/enabled.
I don't think this is a bug, it's not happening on my browser, HP's are set to be the default music device, but when i would change the default device to, fir example speakers, it would play the music using them. No refreshing, closing browser or anything.
Tell me what browser are u using, what version of the script, what OS and what sound card do you have..
When I change audio output device, YouTube goes silent till refresh. This only happens on HTML5 player. If I use Flash, there is no need for refresh. Disabling YTC doesn't change this behavior in my case. Therefore, seems it is not a YTC issue, but a browser one.
Firefox 36 / YTC add-on, latest dev (at time of writing).
And not HTML5 issue whatsoever, well not on Chrome.
I can confirm what @RevolutionGG said, using Mozilla 37.0.1 (latest at time of writing).
Switching output audio device while a Youtube video is playing doesn't change the audio output, regardless of HTML5 or Flash video. Refreshing the video changes the audio output to the correct device, but it's an annoyance.
Doesn't happen on Chrome.
I'm on Win 8.1 Pro, using built in Realtek HD Audio.
I often change my sound device settings to switch between playing from my headset and my speakers. Unfortunately, when I have the speaker disabled (and headset enabled) as I open a video, then enabling the speakers (thereby set to default) it doesn't play through the speakers. In order to have it playing from the speakers, I have to refresh the video.
It isn't a huge inconvenience, but it would be nice if YTC updates the audio output when the default sound device changes. Youtube originally already does this (tested by disabling greasemonkey), so I hope this feature can be added to YTC too.
