Some thoughts of "Dark player background" settings #1327

I don't know, since Youtube starts to (re?)introduce this Theater mode as default this year, isn't it better to just set it as default since people rarely requires to change that?

Another thought is to move this setting from UI to Player - Player Size. It definitely about UI I won't deny, but it suits there more IMO, since it's related to player and (in Youtube's default implementation) it only shows with expand player, therefore size matters.

Just my 2 cents.

I strongly object anything to be set as default that lowers visibility of the UI elements. I don't think the majority would like that either, but that's just my speculation.

And I also don't think changing the location of that setting to the player settings is logical as theater mode is not limited to the player, but the whole UI.

The "large" "align" options in player size are not limited to player either.

Theater mode mainly affects everything around the player whereas align option primarily affects the player and secondarily the layout so it won't break. Therefore the current locations of the respective settings is correct and logical in my opinion.
