YouTubeCenter causes few seconds hang for whole page #1638

Everytime i open a new tab and browse to youtube the whole page hangs for few seconds. I triede stable an dev build but booth have these issue. Seems like youtube has updated something. I examined the networktraffic via chrome devtools and some web requests stall to long.

Browser: Chrome Version 41.0.2272.118 (64-bit)

I can confirm. This has been going on for a little while now and is getting super annoying!

Are you using Tamermonkey or how do you install YouTube Center? Also, @Eisys and @muyte what browser are you using?

Im using Tampermonkey ver. 3.10.84 On Chrome Version 41.0.2272.118 m (64-bit)

Okay, the issue is most likely because of some overhead with Tampermonkey and YouTube Center. I have experienced this with Tampermonkey before, but not with anything else.

Well I just put the latest dev .crx into Chrome, disabled Tampermonkey completely and it still hangs. Especially when going to YT from another site or as a new tab.

I have this constantly on Chromium with the unpacked extension and had it on Firefox with the add-on. Usually it happens when I first open a tab and go to YT front page.

Same behavior for me. Seems attributed to thumbnails such as the ones for your subscriptions list on the left navbar

I believe this is the same as issue #1681 and I am experiencing the same behavior.

chrome:42.0.2311.90 tampermonkey: 3.10.84 yt-center: Dev 501

this is what i have witnessed youtube hitching

Disabling "Flex width on page" and "Flex width on channel" fixed the problem for me. #1807
I noticed that the freeze happens only on 1 of my Youtube-accounts, the freezing never happens on any of my 2 other youtube-accounts. ss 2015-05-13 at 09 58 19

Changing the options to use API v3 seems to have solved the freezing issues on my end. There is no "one solution works for everyone" here, each system is different and therefore, different solutions will work for different people.
