Auto resolution not working? #2479

Is anyone else finding that the script's automatic resolution switching isn't working any more? I've had it set for years to show me 720p if it's available, but now I'm getting SD all the time unless I switch every video manually, which is really annoying! I'm also getting those wretched boxes with links to other videos popping up all the time on top of the videos I'm trying to watch, and there seems to be no way of removing them! I'm still using the old YouTube layout.

Pardon?! 😃

I also have this problem, none of the set resolutions work for me. Youtube always loads with auto resolution and not the one I selected on youtube center (I'm using the old youtube layout)

I've actually now sadly abandoned YouTubeCenter. I can't see it now being updated in the future, and it will become increasingly incompatible with YouTube, especially when the new layout is forced on everyone with no alternative, as it surely will be. It's been great for the years I've been using it, and I'm very grateful to Jeppe the developer for maintaining it for as long as he did, but it's now time to move on I'm afraid. I'm now using the "Enhancer for YouTube" Firefox extension, which works fine with the new YouTube layout, and does everything that I used to do with YouTubeCenter, with the single exception of the downloading option, but there are many other extensions which will do that. Cheers, Dave.
