Help installing #814

Open Invisible40 opened 10 years ago

Invisible40 commented 10 years ago

I'm trying to install YouTube Center through GitHub onto Chrome, and on the first use it works.

Then, I close Chrome and when I next open it it says that it's not from the Chrome Web Store and I can't use it, permanently disabling it unless I either deleted it or re installed it (and the whole thing starts over again).

Is there a simple way to bypass this?

You need to unpack .crx file somewhere and load unpacked extension in developer mode.

Piter432, how do I do that?

@Piter432 Will that screw up anything? I have no experience in coding, and am new to GitHub.

UPDATE: I can't do the tutorial you provided because I don't have access to gpedit.msc on my computer. Any other ways?

Piter432 commented 10 years ago

There's no need to coding anything and everything will be fine with Chrome. I just tried it with my KIS 2013 plugins and this way works. What OS are you use now btw.?

@Piter432 I can't do the tutorial you provided because I don't have access to gpedit.msc on my computer. Any other ways?

Piter432 commented 10 years ago

Hmm, I think you don't have the admin rights on your Windows account and that's why you can't access to gpedit.msc

Invisible40 commented 10 years ago

@Piter432 It's because I have Home Premium win. 7.

Any other ways?

Piter432 commented 10 years ago

@Superluigi6 Try this trick.

Invisible40 commented 10 years ago

@Piter432 I don't want to do that. I've tried numerous stuff from that very website and it's all ended up with me doing a System Restore.

Piter432 commented 10 years ago

So there's no other way, sorry.

@Piter432 Dang it.
