We don't plan on solving this in this particular way. Instead there will be a mechanism where the world can specify min/max range of certain post-processing systems - the user's settings will be clamped to those.
This doesn't require permanently changing the settings, but the user's settings are instead the "base" which the world can modify if it chooses so.
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
With the new graphics settings, some worlds may not look as intended by the world creator as some graphics options (like bloom, shadow distance, skin weights etc) may have been adjusted by the user.
Another thing is to possibly change the graphics settings to something other than default to enhance the world's visuals. (mainly a way to increase the shadow distance, as the only alternative is to scale the world down, for large open worlds. But other options could also be useful to change).
Describe the solution you'd like
An opt-in way for users to apply recommended graphics settings for a given world, most likely through a component that when present and triggered (likely through a button press, allowing multiple recommended options) will make a pop-up (similar to host access for url links) to apply the recommended settings for the world.
Other solutions are also possible, so whatever the dev team decides is the least intrusive way to ask the user to apply recommended settings (or decline if they so chose).
These settings could also be automatically reverted, to what the user had before, once the user has left the world.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Asking the user to change their settings manually through text, or other means of telling the user to adjust their settings. (however, this can be a relatively long process and will cause more friction in experiencing the world.)
