2 weeks ago We do not add settings for features that are ultimately broken behaviors.
We do not support physical grabbing in desktop - it's not something that's properly implemented, therefore we cannot add setting for it.
You're free to request support for physical grabbing in desktop, but it's not something we'd make into a setting.

With the new settings menu why not add a physical grab option for desktop mode. I used to use it all the time for testing dynamic bones stretch without needing to be in VR to test.
