Stacked SSAO on cameras #2353

Open gameboycjp opened 4 months ago

gameboycjp commented 4 months ago

Describe the bug?

Changing post processing settings can leave behind extra SSAO layers on cameras. Happens in both VR and Screen Mode.

To Reproduce

With any camera component and post processing on it enabled, change motion blur or SSR settings. As you continue changing either setting, more layers of SSAO build up, causing performance issues, even in the simplest of scenes. Turning off post processing and changing the settings removes those layers one at a time.

Expected behavior

There should only ever be one instance of SSAO applied.

Screenshots

image The picture is of a boatload of toruses over a quad to show the AO.

Rue had also ran into this in #3092.

Describe the bug?

Toggling the motion blur option on the Camera Component Stacks AO effects as its toggled on and off doing this will make the preview image darker and lower FPS the more the option is pressed Side by Side of the effect Image

Note: this dose not effect screenshots taken with the camera only the preview render texture

To Reproduce

  1. Spawn a camera using the dev tip and inspect it
  2. locate the Motion Blur option radio bubble
  3. Toggle the Motion Blur option multiple times and watch the effect stack and gradually darken the image

Expected behavior

the option to toggle motion blur should not persist or effect the camera in this way when toggled
