Desktop mode Changes defult volume level for Mic on Launch (Read note about log in comments) #2975

Describe the bug?

When I start up Resonite in desktop mode either for the first time when launching the PC, or after having previously running Resonite in VR mode (meaning my last boot this session was not in desktop mode) My windows audio input device [3- TONOR TC -777 Audio Device] will have its input volume shifted from 100 to 88. It is always 88

When the volume is this low, other users can not hear me in Resonite. I have to open the sound panel in windows and change it back to 100% at which point it functions normally.

I have disabled the option that lets applications take exclusive control of this device No other program has this issue.

To Reproduce

Using windows 11 either in a fresh boot, or having previously run Resonite in VR mode Via Steam Link. Open Windows Sound panel and find volume slider for Audio Input is set to 100 Boot Resonite in Desktop mode. Sound is too quiet for new users to hear me. Open windows sound panel and find volume slider for Audio input is set to 88 Change slider for Audio Input to 100 Users can now hear me.

Expected behavior

Do not interact with my sound settings at all.

I am aware that the log included has a few mods. The glitch does not happen every time. I attempted removing the mods (by putting the folders on desktop) before running the game. I restarted the pc and ran the game in desktop mode 12 times with no fix.

I then proceeded to reinstall the mods and try to boot the game another 3 times with no problem happening again. The log provided was one of the cases in which my windows volume was changed, I understand it has mods but i don't know how to recreate the problem with accuracy. It happens "sometimes" there is no consistency to recreating the issue.

I will try to keep posting logs each time i notice the issue (it's pretty easy, I have to boot the game and then people explain they can't hear me. it's very hard to not notice)

I saw it happen at least once, even though it had mods installed at that time. (Seen through a share screen through discord)

Hmm- if you're able to identify conditions under which it will at least somewhat consistently (without mods) alter the device volume that would be useful- @Talakai - particularly since you noted it currently seems to be inconsistent.
