Support for linking to dashboards with a time filter was added in #96. This allows you to link to a dashboard, and ElastAlert will include the link along with a time setting for when the alert occurred. There is not support yet for that dashboard automatically being filtered.
To use, set the option use_kibana4_dashboard to a URL of your dashboard:
use_kibana4_dashboard: "https://elasticsearch.example.com/#/dashboard/MyDash"
I don't see support for having sample rules generated from kibana 4. Is there a plan for it to be built sometime soon?
@Qmando Kibana4 looks likes its supported according to the docs. Should this issue be closed?
The Kibana 4 linking supports modifying the timestamp, but unlike Kibana 3, it does not support adding filters. That functionality is possible, so I'll leave this issue open for that.
can some please update on issue #45, can we add filter to kibana4 dashboard
+1 for support for kibana 4 dashboard with filters

Forget Kibana4, onto ELK 5.0!

I have an inventory of problems. I think this problem has been solved. If it has been resolved, close it.
The kibana template only works for Kibana 3. We should be able to do roughly the same for the Kibana 4.
