why no barcode in input #5

Hello, I was wondering why barcode sequences were used only for CLIP IP, but not for input reads? Thanks, Zhenzhen

I'm not as familiar with the experimental design decisions but finally got around to asking one of the original authors. I believe these issues can be now addressed by our computational pipeline.

We initially started with barcoded input adapters too but we were seeing lots of issues with adapter dimers in the final libraries, possibly due to issues with synthesis of the oligos. we weren’t seeing these issues with the generic invRiL19 adapter so just decided to stick with that.
