PDF viewer - error on public shares “Unspecified share exception” #91

I have an ownwlcoud 10 installation on a shared web hosting. The PDF viewer functions does not function on public shares – while it functions correctly from within owncloud. With the epub/pdf reader (version 1.2.3) activated, I get an error with shared files accessed through their public url. Owncloud answers “Unspecified share exception”. The download button functions, and download is automatically proposed if I add “/download” to the public url. It really seems a problem with the viewer, as the image viewer functions from within owncloud and from public urls with images and videos. Owncloud version : 10.0.7.2 Reader (ebook reader) : 1.2.3

I'll look into this recent crop of problems within a few days, rather busy now. Stay tuned...

Thanks for your reply, I solved my problem with a manual hack. I copied the PDF viewer from another owncloud installation of owncloud. I do not know why I could not find it in the apps of this instllation. Now everything works for PDF. It is the PDF Viewer from Thomas Müller, Lukas Reschke, version 0.8.2. I just copied the whole folder into the apps owncloud subfolder. web/owncloud/apps/files_pdfviewer As for the epub/pdf viewer, it is still there... but apparently the other proper PDF viewer takes care of PDF files, which is ok for me.

Still, it'd be better if Reader worked as intended so I'll look into this when I have some time to spend on these apps - which is not the case at this moment...
