What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. when i am trying to connect to gmail server
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
i am using it in windows XP

You might want to verify which IP address it is tryin to use for the 
connection. I have had issues getting connections to work over IPv6 with 
Jabber.net

Also check your firewall settings.
