Automation support for temperature and humidity sensor?

So in the mi home app I can do automation rules for when the temperature sensor changes above or below a certain temperature.

Home on iOS says it can't be automated as it's a fixed value sensor.

I'd be happy to contribute the change if someone could point me in the right direction as to what needs to change to allow this.

I'd love to know how to do this as well, it would be great if I can use this for automation in Home iOS rather than in the Mi app.

Just try Eve App...you can do it there !

I'm having the same issue, I've been struggling for like 3 hours now, downloading any kind of third party app available. Setting up the automation, but it does not work. Did you manage to get this sorted?

I use Eve and Hesperus for automation with temperature. The only issue is that xiaomi/aqara temp sensors dont send data often enough. Give them some time and it will work. Check my simple automation, A/C on. The picture is from Hesperus app on iOS.
