,there is a way to use beam detectors over multiple meshes that now has 
been tested. Attached the *.fds-input files and devc-output files (with 
the two beams being added up to one and then compared with the original 
one).

What is the issue here?  Devices can't operate over multiple meshes because of 
the
way we pass data between meshes.  Kevin, are you suggesting we do some form of
recursion on devices to allow for mesh spanning?

The idea from my part was just to let people know that there is a easy way to 
overcome the limitation of beam detectors spanning over multiple meshes by 
making 
several beams and then adding them up with a simple calculation. The equations 
used 
are practicly already in the user's guide so maybe there could be a section 
describing how to use it.
