Error when installing the desktop #11

Hello everyone. From the start I want to say sorry for my bad english. I am here to tell you that I saw some errors when installing this lxqt desktop, and for me is not working at all.

As you can see in this screenshot, I did installed the desktop as it should be, but at the very end of the installation some errors occurs. I tried to get past them (not see them), I set the vncserver, I connected to the server through the vnc viewer app for android (from play store) and all I could see was a black screen and a white square as the mouse. I tried to do (export DISPLAY=":1") and the problem is still there. I believe that the problem is because of the errors, and thats why I am addresing this bug to someone that could help me. I am on samsung A50 SM-A505FN/DS and this was a fresh install of termux. Please help me. Thank you.

Try deleting the folder rm -rf ~/termux-desktop-lxqt

And then clone and run the script again

Ok, I just checked the script and there was a step I forgot when I released the update, I just fixed it

Ok, so this time the installation was very fast. I still got these errors:

And I also saw that you changed the script, so should I reset the termux and install everything again? Or something else?

That is already very rare, try unzipping the data.tar.xz file in $HOME

Maybe this repository is a beta

Or try xfce4 :

I was searching for a desktop for termux (personal purpose) and some time ago I was using an xfce4 interface and all I can say is that interface was somewhat looking good, had some bugs especially with the browser (which the user would need to enter a custom argument, and saving it). But I think that it was also very outdated

Now, i tried unzipping and it says 'cannot find or open data.tar.xz, data.tar.xz.zip or data.tar.xz.ZIP'

I also looked at your xfce4, and all I can say is that is looking very awesome. I can see that this repository is beta, and I somewhat want to help (as long as I can) to improve this. But I can also try your xfce4, because in general I'm curious at everything. So what do you say? Try to resolve this unzipping error? I should try reinstalling again the whole desktop? Or I should try your xfce4?

Ok so, sorry for waiting this long, I had some real life troubles. Right now I reseted termux, installed the desktop again (with current steps and clone depth) and now it has worked!!! I didnt tried the vncserver yet, but the installation ended with no errors!

So far, I tried the desktop. Surprisingly, works very well. But when I try to close it, all I can do is to logout. Idk if this is a termux problem (for not being able to close completely the desktop) but it would be very nice

Ok, I'm glad it already works.

Note that lxqt has more bugs than xfce4, but lxqt is faster.
