Default Values for GUI #20

Seems as if some users were having problems because the AI refused to update 
the state file because of a missing value entry. While the newer versions have 
more verbose error messages, most of the time simple problems occur when a 
value is missing from an unrelated field (i.e. Those who don't have a lif 
instead of a vanil).

Now, regardless of how you've set up the GUI, it should be able to create a new 
file.... for better or worse.
