AMT Credentials error issue in Meshcentral #2898

Open sysadmin-us opened 3 years ago

sysadmin-us commented 3 years ago

I am getting this error on continuous basis when configuring AMT device ACM via USB. What it pointing out device group not found and trying credentials don't work at all after re-entering credentials. This is a Mesh Agent device group, MeshCentral try the credentials does not complete the configuration of Intel AMT.

@Ylianst Why this issue occurring again and again, AMT manager need to be fix in meshcentral?

I am looking into this. This is not the first time I see this and there is certainly something going wrong. It may have to do with what characters are in the device group identifiers making some group do this.

I think this might be related to the problem I was having because the agent groups know that it's activated but the credentials don't work but if you run command based amt stuff on that device that requires the AMT password it works just fine.

I am not able to replicate this issue and not sure what to do next.

When device group found, this issue also occurs with the error trying credentials and not disappear after some time too. Although AMT credentials is correct.

Just published MeshCentral v0.8.78 with a lot of Intel AMT improvements. When it will display the "Device group not found" error, it will also display the identifier of the device group it's looking for.

When clicking on a device group, the device group identifier will show up in the URL after "gotomesh=".

Should be easy to match the identifiers and see what is going wrong.

I'm seeing the same error once I use an agent then try to connect to the activated ACM ;using the IntelME dialog box.

I have the same problem. I can get into AMT from ip:16992 so I know my credentials are good.

Although Meshcentral shows status of "Trying Credentials" the power off and wake up commands do work. If and when this gets worked on feel free to contact me if you want to see my screens.
