What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.I  made a hat 
2.tried to make it export to .dmx
3.this error appeared Scene uncongifured. See the Source engine export panel in 
scene properties
4.I look at panels too
5.still getting error

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of Blender and the SMD Tools are you using? On what operating
system?

This is normal. The scene is configured from the properties panel.
