is your ubuntu appindicator extension enabled.it must be enabled for the gui to work
I encountered the same issue as discussed here: https://github.com/techgaun/nepali-calendar-indicator/issues/5#issuecomment-247910383
After sudo apt install gir1.2-appindicator3-0.1
it seems to work (though I did try apt install some other stuff before which did not seem to help)
Then I needed to apt install konsole
because the script calls that: https://github.com/YoCodingMonster/OpenFreezeCenter/issues/121
But at last it won't work on Ubuntu 22 because it has removed the ec module. Relevant discussion: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1943318
Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS
Please see the new pre-release and in the tell if having issues in the discussion of that release tab only.
