You need to update the IDE first, not just runtime. There have been project format changes as well!
Hehe, yeah, as mentioned above, you need to let the Steam client update your GameMaker install first of all (as I can see your log does confirm you were still using the 2023.11 IDE).
This isn't a bug or anything for us to fix - just your Steam app on your own computer ;)
If you happen to still be using the "GameMaker Studio 2: Desktop", "GameMaker Studio 2: Web" or "GameMaker Studio 2: Mobile" products, then we already said back in the November release notes that these versions would not get further updates and that you should install the "GameMaker" product on Steam and use that instead. That would explain why Steam has not automatically updated your install. (Please always read the release notes...)
That should clear up any confusion anyway, so I will close this one now.
Description
My team migrated to the new IDE version and I'm stuck at 2023. I updated the Runtime but it goes back to the last 2023 version when I close and reopen game maker.
