The %%name%% variable is not being replaced in the Social Media Preview #1305

What did you expect to happen?

I expected that the variable %%name%% would be replaced in the Snippet Preview

What happened instead?

It did not get replaced, but it did work in the frontend of the site.

How can we reproduce this behavior?

  1. Create a new post with the %%name%% variable in the Social Media preview section.
  2. See that the variable is not replaced.
  3. Check the frontend of the site to verify it has been replaced correctly.

We've received another report from a user that the WooCommerce variables like %%wc_sku%% are not replaced either in the Facebook or Twitter preview.
