This appears to be the same issue - https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/6204 I do not have W3 Total Cache however and I'm on a different theme.

Please give us a description of what happened.

I was setting up Yoast for my site via the installation wizard. All proceeded without issue as normal until step 7: Multiple Authors. I selected multiple, since there are two on my site and I received this error: "A problem occurred when saving the current step, please file a bug report describing what step you are on and which changes you want to make (if any)."

Please describe what you expected to happen and why.

I expected to go through the process within a few minutes and then ran into this strange save issue. I cannot go back or forward. I don't know why it happened.

How can we reproduce this behavior?

  1. Use Wordpress self-hosted
  2. Use Flothemes Kyoto, use ChildTheme
  3. Already have started setting up pages and posts with keywords and readability scores
  4. Find set-up wizard (I did not know this existed so I've already been semi using the plugin for a while)
  5. Set environment as Portfolio
  6. Set site type (not sure, I can't go back and I can't remember)
  7. Set as Company
  8. Add URLs for social media sites
  9. Select all for visibility except Clients
  10. Select Multiple Authors and attempt to move forward

Thank you for reporting this issue. As FloThemes Kyoto is a premium theme and we do not have access, we are currently not yet able to reproduce the bug. Before we'll continue, could you please check for JavaScript errors in your browser's console? If you're unsure how to do this, please see this article we've written about finding JavaScript errors with your browser's console.

Could you please inform us of the results?
