Conflict between Yoast SEO and Toolset #11880

Closed dmorda closed 5 years ago

dmorda commented 5 years ago

Please give us a description of what happened.

I've updated to WordPress 5.0.2, Yoast SEO 9.3, and Toolset Types 3.1.2. Since doing this, I'm experiencing multiple issues in the editor including:

Disabling Yoast enables me to use the editor again for the custom post type, but I lose Yoast features. I've also posted a bug report in Toolset's support forums.

Here is the error I see in the console log when editing a custom post type.

Please describe what you expected to happen and why.

I expect the editor to work properly along with all the widgets on the editor page with no JS errors.

How can we reproduce this behavior?

  1. Install WordPress 5.0.2
  2. Install Types 3.1.2
  3. Install Yoast 9.3
  4. Create a custom post type with Types that has multiple fields and a child relationship to another custom post type
  5. Create a new post in for that custom post type

Technical info

Used versions

dmorda commented 5 years ago

I apologize, I was using Types 3.1.2 and not the latest one, 3.2.3. I typically use wp-cli to install all updates and for some reason types was not detecting the update. After I noticed there was a new version, I tried it and all is now working as expected.

Sorry for the false alarm.
