Yoast SEO interfering with Callrail

Please give us a description of what happened.

When running a PPC campaign, the phone numbers on my page were not swapping due to Yoast. I am using the Callrail plugin that adds a DNI to the page to track leads. My contact who is running the campaign stated, "This is most likely due to using Yoast website optimizer on the page. Yoast is great but it can run scripts out of order. We sometimes see issues when using it so you will need to exclude or whitelist CDN.CallRail.Com from it. This exclusion should fix the matter and your numbers should begin swapping." After disabling the Yoast plugin, the number did swap, so it is definitely Yoast.

Please describe what you expected to happen and why.

I excepted the DNI to work so we would be able to track leads coming to the PPC campaign, this has worked for me on numerous other sites while using both the Callrail and Yoast plugins.

How can we reproduce this behavior?

1. Activate both Callrail and Yoast plugins
2. Have an active Callrail campaign
3. Try to track leads that come through

Sorry to hear that you're having a conflict between Yoast SEO and CallRail Phone Call Tracking plugin. I'm afraid I could not test this since the plugin needs a key that is unavailable without a premium subscription. So, I will leave the issue open to see if anyone else has more information on how to reproduce the issue better.

That said, did you try excluding whatever your contact is suggesting that you mentioned in your description?

Both are free plugins, I don't believe you need a key at all. I asked on the Wordpress plugin page (https://wordpress.org/support/topic/yoast-seo-interfering-with-callrail/#post-15850293) about whitelisting the URL, but they said there’s no static IP address except the public IP address that we use on Yoast.com.

Indeed CallRail Phone Call Tracking is a free plugin, but activating the plugin doesn't let you do anything unless you add a key and the relevant key is only available once you subscribe to a premium plan.
