Yoast SEO 3.0.1 Showing Incorrect Word Count #3312

I'm running Wordpress 4.3.1, and per your request, here is the text I'm using that Yoast SEO 3.0.1 is showing a word count of 2,480:

This 1962 Bentley S2 Drop Head Coupe (convertible) is one of our past automotive restoration projects. Somebody had already started restoring the body on this classic luxury car before it was delivered to us. We made a custom passenger side lower quarter panel from aluminum sheet, repaired the front fenders, and repaired other rust damaged areas. It's nice to know we helped contribute to restoring such a rare and classic luxury automobile.

The 1962 Bentley S2 automobile was actually built by Rolls-Royce. Although Bentley started out as its own entity in 1919, Rolls-Royce took the company over in 1931. Today Bentley, as well as Rolls-Royce, are owned by the Volkswagen Group.

The 1959-1962 Bentley S2 and Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II are a classic example of badge engineering in that they are fundamentally the same car except for grilles, hood shape, mascots, instruments and wheel covers. The Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II outsold the Bentley S2 series but Bentley still sold 2,308 cars (including the long-wheelbase limousine).

Also, there are also other incorrect metrics being reported (see screenshot).

Experiencing the same problem with the latest update -- very similar to the above.

Word count has increased dramatically -- from around 300-400 to over 1000 words -- keyword density has dropped as a result. Flesch Reading Ease result is showing as 0 or very low like 2-3 -- for text that was unchanged and had a FRE of around 70 before updating to the new plugin version.

Nothing changed on-page -- so these effects are due to the plugin. Latest versions of Wordpress, Theme (Enfold) and plugin installed.

This problem has been fixed in the upcoming release 3.1 The release candidate is available now.
