I think I saw another issue with display issues in snippet editor, but didn't sound exactly same.
Any JS errors in browser console?
Seems like this might be duplicate of #3358, if you could please take a look at that thread.
OK will do. Never had any problems with SEO plugin before, and nothing else had been updated prior to updating to 3.0.3.
Hoping I can downgrade to a previous version until it's resolved, as it's quite disconcerting to see in your dashboard that all new posts, and updated old posts, now don't have any SEO and not knowing now if the SEO scores are good or bad.
Ok. Results in, at least from my set-up. After turning off Cloudflare, and disabling HTTPS, and ALL plug-ins, and reenabling them one-by-one, it turns out the conflict is with HTTPS in some form or another.
I have a valid HTTPS certificate, but currently only use HTTPS for Wp-Admin, using the: define('FORCE_SSL_ADMIN', true); in wp-config. When I remove this code, and will ALL original plug-ins reenabled, the Snippet Editor works!
However, I still have to go in and manually enter the meta information for all previous posts published since the original 3.0.0 update, which is frustrating.
Also a shame I can no longer have a secure Wordpress Admin area for now.
I am not confident I can reproduce this myself, since I don't have certificate for my own domains.
Any JS errors in browser console? Are the plugin's scripts loading with http or https? Might be some kind of security edge case.
Unfortunately not actionable in lack of way to reproduce.
Dear Rarst!
I have the same problem as the OP, the only difference is that the focus keyword also reverts back to the previous version after post update. I do not have SSL certificate, I do not use HTTPS.

Since updating to 3.0.3, I'm finding that the new Snippet Editor input area isn't working. By that I mean any information you key into the Snippet Editor, for both Title and Meta Description, after post Update is lost and reverts back to the default. (Worth noting that the input area for both title and meta, allow for pasting of actual text styles and links)
The Focus Keyword is however kept.
This is true for new posts, and making changes to old posts. This means you don't get an SEO score, even though you've entered the information. The above image shows how the Snippet Editor has reverted to default text, even though it was saved with the actual post title etc.
However, on inspection of Source, the previously input information to the Snippet Editor IS shown, so obviously the inputted information IS being saved, but it's just not shown in the post view.
Presumably this isn't then affecting real world SEO, just how the plug-in itself reports the SEO Score.
I've tried disabling and reenabling the plug-in, as well as clean cache and repair/optimise database, but to no avail.
