Yoast SEO plugin for WordPress 4.4.1 - homepage cannot be indexed by search engines. #3686

I am having the same issue with the Yoast SEO plugin for WordPress 4.4.1

Your homepage cannot be indexed by search engines. This is very bad for SEO and should be fixed.

I have tried everything from multiple sites to fix and address it and it won't go away.

FIX FOUND: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/updated-and-now-it-says-homepage-cant-be-indexed?replies=47

Step 1: Goto WP Dashboard Step 2: Goto Yeost SEO Dashboard Step 3: click on Fetch again at the bottom. Step 4: Clear the error and refresh you admin panel.

Edit: Clicking fetch and refreshing the dashboard fixed the problem for me.

The problem asn't been fixed for me any suggestions to fix the issue would be greatful

I'm getting this same error: Your homepage cannot be indexed by search engines. This is very bad for SEO and should be fixed. I'm using WordPress 4.9.8 - Yoast 8.2.1 - my website is http://dieselemissionsservice.com. Google mobile test isn't finding it it says the robot.txt is blocking it. I already researched to find out how to edit the robot.txt file and have done so: that file current says:

User-agent: Disallow: /suggest/?

Sitemap: http://dieselemissionsservice.com/sitemap.xml

So we just went live with our site and it was a beta site that has now been switched over live. It was previously listed as unindexed, but I have unchecked that box, but it is still not showing up. Pl yoast ease help. Thanks
