Recent Update breaks DIVI text modules #7099

Closed diananashif closed 7 years ago

Never have had any issues with Yoast SEO till yesterday.

Using DIVI theme and Updated the plugin and afterwards when you want to edit a text module on a page, the text editor is blank. All the text is stripped out. Sometimes if I hit save and update on the module and open it again the editor is working where I can add the content again. Save and update the page as usually. Go back again to edit the module and the content is gone again.

Use the DIVI theme on a site.

No issue show in the frontend unless the editor removes it all. I had to disable Yoast SEO because I can't have my pages not showing content.

Technical info

Here is what the editor looks like when the plugin is activated:

Thanks for your bug report. Unfortunately, we are not able to reproduce this issue. Could you please check for errors in your browsers console? That could help us in getting a better understanding of this issue.

Thank you! I did some more testing and for some reason it only happens on some pages and for all divi modules that have a content box. Doesn't make any sense, but if there is an issue, the little dropdown arrows for the different sections when in the edit page window are boxes like the image is not there. Attached is the console error report and the missing arrow boxes. js-errors-yoast-enabled no-arrows

Thanks for your reply. This error message doesn't point to the direction of Yoast SEO. Could you try turning off your browser extensions (especially Tag Assistant)?

Hi Thulshof,

I found the problem root. If I have a paragraph field using the rich text editor in the form (gravity forms) that I am embedding into the page, then text module doesn't work. Still it only happens if I have Yoast enabled.

I will contact gravity forms about this issue.

Really appreciate your help and guidance. Cheers, Diana

Thanks for your reply. It looks like Gravity Forms is changing some WordPress behaviour that our plugin replies on. I'll close this issue for now because fixing this is behind our scope. Please inform us about Gravity Forms reaction or re-open this issue if necessary.
