In version 5.9 of Yoast SEO, we introduced the SEO functionality for all public post types.
In this feature, we exclude noindex post-types from the list of relevant post types.
This turns out to introduce unwanted behaviour for these post types.
Unwanted behaviour includes:
Not being able to set index on an object of a noindex post type
Not being able to view the readability scores
Not being able to optimize object before removing the noindex from a post type
How can we reproduce this behavior?
Configure a post type to have robots set to noindex in the Titles & Metas menu
Please give us a description of what happened.
