Thanks for reporting this issue.

We'll need to know if this behaviour is caused by a conflict with a plugin or theme. Therefore we want to ask you to do the following:

If it still occurs:

If it doesn't occur anymore:

If the problem reoccurred after reactivating one of your plugins, please add that information to your bug report.

Hello,

Thanks for your answer.

I tried what you wrote and the problem still occurs.

How can I fix it ?

Have a nice day.

Thanks for following up with me. Can you also check for JavaScript errors? You can do so by performing the following steps:

This will give us more information about what is going wrong. You can also use our extensive guide how to check for JavaScript errors.

In the meantime, you can use our configuration guide and manually set up the plugin.

Thanks!

Here's the message

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 (Forbidden)

[Error] Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 (Forbidden) (configurator, line 0)

benvaassen commented 6 years ago

Thanks for following up with me. That looks to be related to https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/6183 and https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/9107 because of the 403 forbidden message you receive. I'm gonna put this is the backlog for our developers.

In the meantime you can manually set up the plugin if you follow our configuration guide.

I am going to close this thread due to inactivity. If you're experiencing this issue, please check the console and/or response from the server when your browser contacts wp-json/yoast/v1/configurator to check for any 404 / 403 / 5xx errors. If there are any, try to resolve those to get the wizard working again. This issue contains a breakdown of what can happen and some design choices that we're looking to implement to explain this to our users.
