Please give us a description of what happened.

I installed the plugin ACF Content Analysis for Yoast SEO on our dev server. When sharing that page, it shows a reading time of 2 min even if it should be closer to 9 mins: https://signifyddev.wpengine.com/resources/fraud-101/chargeback-fraud-complete-guide-for-merchants/. Looks like the content contained in the ACF fields is not taken in account for the calculation of the reading time.

Please describe what you expected to happen and why.

After installing the plugin, I was expecting to have a reading time of 9 min when sharing that post. What did I miss? How can the ACF fields be taken in account in the reading time when sharing the posts on social medias?

Technical info

Thank you!

Hey @sarabourg, In what kind of ACF fields is the content written? I'd like to be able to try to reproduce. If you can share the setup of the fields and if possible share the ACF export of the fields, we could try to reproduce and check a few things.

Hi Jeroen,

I'm using that documentation https://yoast.com/help/find-custom-field-name/ and this plugin Custom Field Finder plugin to get the name of the ACF fields.

The content is in a Text field under a Flexible content field. See screenshot below.

The ACF fields export is attached (JSon).

The name of the field that the Custom Field Finder plugin gave me is layout_options_0_body. See screenshot below.

My blog post using these ACF fields shows a reading time of 2 min even if it should be closer to 9 minutes with all the content we have in the ACF fields.

Thanks for your help. Sara
