you meant fps, not LEDs here, right?

and a question: is this an "official" fork of the osresearch library? or are you still pushing things upstream eventually? if its meant to be a fork, a quick note in the README would help, and maybe also opening the issues feature on github.

i am planning a project with around 20k LEDs and so far the beagleboard with LEDscape looks the most promising option...

I'll let Yona comment on the fps part of things. As of right now I feel that this version of LEDscape has forked to focus on the WS28xx pixels. There has been a flurry of development and we are adding some more features very soon. We also have some big developments in the works for hardware. Approximately 22K will be the upper limit for leds using OPC.

Yes, that was a typo. And yes, this is an "official" fork. There is a sentence in the beginning of the README "This version of the library has evolved significantly from it's original source ..." which is meant to indicate that this is a fork. Considering how much we've diverged from the original, it may also be worth changing the name to distinguish this version. I'm somewhat new to forking open-source projects and welcome input and advice.

you are right, i somehow overlooked that sentence. i guess that is fine. looking forward to receive my beagle board and see how it works out!
