Current Behavior

I can't install the bin. file I downloaded from Snapshots on Qhora 301-W. Is there any guide on how to install it on this device?

Specifications

Ysurac commented 8 months ago

You can follow https://openwrt.org/toh/qnap/301w (with detailed instructions https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/commit/bd17683261e1dde1fdd4223745852de1ce8cfc89) then you can update to OpenMPTCProuter

AyberkAltuntop commented 7 months ago

After bricking the device I recovered it again with serial. :)

I install OpenWrt without any problem and I can enter the interface, but when I try to update the file "openmptcprouter-v0.60rc1-6.1-r0+24843-acf40c022e-qualcommax-ipq807x-qnap_301w-squashfs-sysupgrade-2" I cannot access the interface. The device boots. The LEDs are normal blinking (green) I see that Openmptcprouter is installed with Serial, but the device does not receive ip from DHCP, and I cannot access the interface (192.168.100.1) when I give manual ip. (192.168.100.5)

Where could the problem be? Thank you very much.

Ysurac commented 7 months ago

ok, no network config. What do you have in /etc/config/network ? If it's not easy to paste, only uci show network.lan will be enough.

AyberkAltuntop commented 7 months ago

I can't see the /etc location when running the ls command.

Below is a screenshot of the uci show network.lan

Ysurac commented 7 months ago

Can you do: uci set network.lan.ifname='lan1' && uci set network.lan.device='lan1' && uci commit && /etc/init.d/network restart That should give you network. I will update the config.

AyberkAltuntop commented 7 months ago

Yes it worked :) Thank you very much.

Do I need to install the 10G Aquantia FW for 10G ports?

Do you think this device is powerful enough to allow me to combine 2x 1.000/100 connections and use them as 2.000/200?

Ysurac commented 7 months ago

If I didn't forget something, it should already have aquantia fw. For the speed, I have no idea with this device for now.

AyberkAltuntop commented 7 months ago

10 G ports seem to be inactive at the moment. Both ports (10G) do not light the link light and do not show any activity.

Ekran Resmi 2024-03-21 ÖS 5 35 04
Ysurac commented 7 months ago

It's because they are not configured, you need to set all interfaces correctly in Network->Interfaces

AyberkAltuntop commented 7 months ago

I still cannot use the 10G ports even though I have configured them in the interface section. Even the LEDs of the ports are not lit.

Maybe something to do with the link speed settings? Maybe it's not auto-negotiating? Or maybe I'm missing something but I don't know what I'm missing.

uci set network.lan.ifname='lan1' && uci set network.lan.device='lan1' && uci commit && /etc/init.d/network restart After this command, both wan and lan interfaces are defined to lan1.

Ysurac commented 7 months ago

For WAN port, in Network->Interfaces you need to set another port than "lan" for WAN port. What do you have in uci show network ?

AyberkAltuntop commented 7 months ago

By the way, it couldn't get the information with the API (ShadowSocks key, A Dead Simple VPN key, etc.) I was able to set manually, but it still gives an API warning.

You removed 10g interfaces configuration ? Doesn't help to check if it's correct. For the API, check what you have in Status->System log. Make sure you rebooted the VPS after installation and that range 65000-65535 is open on AWS.

VPS API answer, check that you use correct API key.

AyberkAltuntop commented 7 months ago

I realize that I might have been putting you through some inconvenience, but I've been trying to set this up and get it to work properly for 2 months, so I really don't want to give up. I hope you can understand.

Before purchasing the Qnap 301-w, I successfully ran a setup using Debian 11 and a virtual machine with kernel 5.4 on the VPS side, and a virtual machine inside a router without any issues. In other words, I have previously managed to install and configure everything smoothly. However, due to inadequate hardware performance, I opted for the Qnap 301. My initial setup was quite straightforward; I only had to enter the Server Key and VPS IP address. This time, I can't seem to figure out the problem. I didn't enter the API Admin Key, and I can't seem to find this option in the interface. When I enter the other details manually, it only works as Shadowsocks. I can't connect through V2ray or any other proxy.

You're the only support I can turn to. It would mean a lot to me if you could find some time to assist me again. Thank you so much in advance.

Ysurac commented 7 months ago

The API Admin key is only used for API configuration, not needed in your case. Can you check in /etc/openmptcprouter-vps-admin/omr-admin-config.json, that you set the same key in the wizard as "user_password" in the openmptcprouter user section ? If yes, what is the result of journalctl -u omr-admin ?
