does anybody know when this fix will be merged? It would be great if this could happen within the next days. Mastodon devs are already notifying instance admin with the old version. Thanks a lot and sorry for and sorry to be so annoying.

FWIW: I am currently testing the installation on my own instance, using this command:

yunohost app upgrade mastodon -u https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/mastodon_ynh/tree/ci-auto-update-v4.2.7

I also added a -b option (meaning no backup), because backup takes long and already have a fresh one. Using it with caution.

I'll let you know if the upgrade worked. Still I'll let maintainers do the merge, and it would probably need this fix Yunohost-side.
