VPN and coturn? #460

Describe the bug

No more explanation in Readme to make coturn synapse-coturn restart when the VPN restart (as in all Readme). Is it not necessary anymore? Is it included in V2 now? Admins who have a package install for long time should remove /usr/local/bin/openvpn_up_script.sh and undo other steps?

Hello,

Well, no changes was made on this side. Only the doc was moved here as now the README is auto generated and so we can't add more additional information.

Thank you for pointing me to the location of the doc.

It seems that something has changed because it used to be coturn-synapse.service and now it is synapse-coturn.service. That would explain why it has stop to work, wouldn't it?

Well it's a good question. The services was renamed (by b2e2341) to have a more standardized name as the services number will grow into this app (now we have coturn, but we have sliding proxy with matrixv2 and later we will have mas and livekit for element call).

So here are how the services was renamed:

matrix-synapse -> synapse: the main service for the app
coturn-synapse -> synapse-coturn: coturn for synapse
new in matrix v2 branch: synapse-sliding-proxy: sliding proxy for synapse.

After changing coturn-synapse -> synapse-coturn restart after VPN trick works again.
