Open Dovecot's managesieve port ? / Improve sieve filter integration #8

The YunoHost Dovecot installation supports Sieve and managesieve. However, the managesieve port (4190) is not opened in the firewall by default.

Is this on purpose? Security consideration perhaps? Or just forgotten? Roundcube has the managesieve installation configured by default, but uses the local interface, so it bypasses the firewall.

Does this makes sense ? This is used as internal stuff, not external, port doesn't need to be opened imho ?

it can be useful to access the sieve server from the outside, that's how I use it today. Thunderbird has extensions for configuring the sieve filters : https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/thunderbird/addon/sieve/ Works great, just have to open that 4190 port.

I have no idea about the security implications, but since it is integrated to dovecot, I would guess that we get the same security than the imap server itself.

If it is like this, why is the port not opened yet?

Je confirme qu'en l'état, un …

yunohost firewall allow TCP 4190
