LDAPCP on a non-ADFS federated setup #189

Bonjour Yvan.

In our proof-of-concept setup of SharePoint Subscription Editon, we are not using ADFS but a different STS, albeit with the goal to mimic as much as possible the claims provided by ADFS (there's a Dynamics 365 v9 involved also but that's not what brought me here). When reading the description of the project it states "...when authentication is federated with ADFS". To give you a better grasp of what we (well, me :) ), are trying to achieve is having the SharePoint being fed with users from an OpenLDAP server. I did some tests but was unable to have LDAPCP to pick the user/email address, and I also wonder if I can avoid usind the User Profile service. As a starting point to clarify some of my doubts my question is, does LDAPCP only works when federated with ADFS? Thank you.

Peter

Hello Yvan.

Thank you for your reply, things are clear now. LDAPCP doesn't fit on our setup but nevertheless thank you for making available your project.

Kind regards,

Peter
