Z-Way controller shown as "Dead" - some z-wave devices still work? #284

My UZB stick seems to be partially working, but looking at the logs there are many errors I can't debug any further myself.

some of it is described here: https://forum.z-wave.me/viewtopic.php?f=3419&t=33980

I could mention more symptoms, but i think they might all be caused by a problem closer to the core..

Log excerpt: Z-Way-log.txt

version:

Z-Way version v3.0.0 from 2019-07-18 02:47:11 +0300 (build fabbd8c917ba3564c3cee86f3baca2e04da1892f)

System: Chromebox 1 (Haswell) running Debian Buster UZB Stick with freshly bought license

Hello!

Your dongle has a bridge firmware instead of static controller. It was made for third party controller. To use it with Z-Way please update the firmware: Expert UI -> Network -> Controller Info -> UZB and upgrade to any formware. It should become static controller then.

Great! it works now, only question now is why the expert UI thinks it's a secondary controller? image

i excluded and included all 3 devices from the non-expert UI, and they work fine. 👍

Feature Request: A pop-up that illuminates this issue if someone tries to add sensors in Z-way with bridge mode FW. A "License Status" field somewhere that confirms licensing status

Now when the system works as i should, it looks really promising, good work guys. 👍
