Social: No indication of input focus #35

When you press a text field to write a post or a comment in the social view, there is no indication that you have chosen a specific input. There should probably be a blinking cursor or something like that in the text field that has focus.

This is really strange becouse i don't have this bug on my phone, on my phone there is a flashing cursur.

linba708 commented 11 years ago

just tried it with a different phone and yes on that phone there was no cursor.

marwi509 commented 11 years ago

Yes that is weird. Maybe it's a setting or something that isn't set, some phones assume one setting if it's undefined and some phones assume another? I'm just guessing.

I will look into it.

I got NO indication on my phone either.

I got to borrow another phone for 1 hour today, and it had the same bug, but i cannot seem to fix the bug. I have tried everything from explicitly setting the cursor to visible to creating a dummy on click listener for the edittext view and forcing it to request both focus and focus on touch. Don't know how to solve this. Also kind of hard when the phone that i use doesn't suffer from the bug.

Now there is a cursor. However there is a cursor in the post field even before I've clicked on it, so before the keyboard is up so I can write in it. Minor problem though. Also the text from the post stays in the text field after pressing "post", it should probably be reset or something.
