Making xaringan work on Emacs #1

Hi Zoltán, I am sorry for creating an issue here but I found it impossible to get in contact with you by other means. I read your xaringan tutorial in combination with Jekyll and I found it very interesting in the last section where you mention the possibility of using xaringan outside Rstudio.

I am an Emacs user and I find it very annoying to be forced to use Rstudio to create presentations, that is why I was wondering if you could help me out to set up xaringan on Emacs. I have installed ess, polymode and poly-R on Emacs, opened an R process and even selected a Ninja presentation template, but when compiling and generating the html file, it fails to create the presentation.

I would really appreciate your help, thanks for your time and sorry again for creating an issue here.

Hi Fabrizio, I have created a minimal example R script (as gist) how to deploy xaringan locally. The script will download a sample Rmarkdown file, which is here. You can run the script any of your favorite R IDE (e.g. ESS, or whatever). Hope this help you out. Ps. If you are on twitter you can send me DM.
