In the QSG, there is a single reference to a zopen_root variable.
I think in this context it should just use some default or something explicitly established in the same section.
Overriding could be mentioned as an aside/sub-bullet.
In this same section, I also suggest emphasizing that the sourcing of zopen-config should be added to some shell startup to be persistent. It might make sense to separate this from the one-time steps a little better (especially with the cleanup that happens as the final step currently)
