as mentioned in #92 it would be grate if you had some install option that are selectable using GUI elements while installing at least with the msi file like typical with other installers.
Option to change if it should install system wide or only for the current user
Option to deselect the desktop icon
All other useful options that could be selected through hidden parameters like maybe auto-update or so.
also its fun that when you click to the change icon in the installed apps view actually nothing happens, that should also work and bring you back to the changeable options or should not be enabled at all
(if you click this ändern/change button (left button labeled change, right one uninstall) a little progress bar dialog shows up for just under a second and then nothing else happens)
i mean you dont need anything fancy just the default msi file feature select thingy like this
with a little question like that beforehand:
It says:
Chose installation mode
Please choose the installation mode
Gimp can be installed for all users (requieres administrative rights) or only for you
[ 🛡 Install fur all Users (recomanded) ]
[ → Install only for you ]
[ cancel ]
and if you like you can recommend installing to the local user only ;)
