Tried all versions and looked for youtube for trouble shooting, I am stumped and frustrated. I just want the automatic mid

Tengo el mismo problema, no al momento de darle al botón de instalar carga un momento y luego aparece un anuncio que dice "Mal

Having the same issue—even alpha version will install the app but the app will just keep stopping before opening.

I think the problem is with the version. Current version of SMAPI is builded for version 1.5.6.39, and the current version of the game in Google Play is 1.5.6.52. Try rolling back to version 1.5.6.39 and install SMAPI on it.
