What's the best way to calculate wood density from this data table? -- @oberleb

I guess the question is how the column "dry mass wood (g)" and the column "dry mass bark (g)" relate to the column "volume (g)"?

Hi all; I just circulated an email with a response.

We have initial volume under the bark for small samples (covariates_smallStems.csv $ Volume (g)).

To calculate initial density for those samples, we’d use Volume (g) and wood mass without bark (Dry mass wood (g)). Then we’ve got our initial estimates of wood density without bark…

Be careful because for each harvest we have measurements that include bark, specifically volume (ex. samp1data_201402.csv $ volMass) and $ wetWeight, $ drilledWeight, and $dryMass.
